Fanciful Fan

A paper fan like this one is both functional and pretty! Andrea Marrs of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, describes her fan panels as “light bulb shapes” that when strung together make a beautiful canvas for stamping, brayering and embellishment. Try this template in your own style, using any stamps, colors or themes. Think Victorian, Asian, party invitation, holiday, pool party, and MORE!

1. Trace template six times on desired card stock.
2. Cut out.
3. Stamp, color and embellish.
4. Secure fan blades with an eyelet at base.
5. Attach a continuous ribbon to the backside of the blades, allowing them to unfold evenly.

*TIP*

Using Microsoft Word, make a document with columns and design the layout of text you want. Print out. Take your bulb template and put them right over the printout and cut out the shape that you want. Punch a hole on the bottom of your cutouts and secure with either a ribbon or eyelet.
